I was amazed to read today on BBC News that the Chuckle Brothers have been offering their slapstick kids humour for two decades now!!! I would never have guessed that two guys that look like Yorkshire’s version of the Mario Brothers would have survived for so long, especially when their shows all seem the same (maybe the location changes!)
Anyway, its a winner with the kids (under-8’s in particular apparently) and
as Paul Chuckle says, “You can’t tell kids what is funny. They tell you.” I remember watching The Chucklehounds when I was a kid, and the emotion I’m left with is indifference. Maybe it’s improved with age!
