Site Optimisation Using Entrecard

Now, this is somewhat of an experiment.  Graham Langdon, founder of Entrecard, has written a post describing how he used Entrecard to drive traffic to his site, request comments and then at the end of a 3-day optimisation “cycle” he took an idea from one of his comments, made the changes and then repeated the process to see what effect it had.

I believe that reader feedback is the best way to optimise your site but clearly the greater the number of comments you can use the better.  Therefore this is a plea - please take a look around at the site, read a few posts, digg deep, but whatever you do PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT.  Preferably on this post, but on others will be great too.  As an incentive, I’ll send 250 Entrecard Credits to a random commenter on this post.

I’ve been using EC for a while now.. and while I do get many hits to my blog, I only get probably a 1 loyal reader out of the 10 ECs that come by. But hopefully, my EC avatar is enough to make people remember my blog! :)

Well, EC is truly gives a lot traffic to my blogsite. But they just do it to drop a card, and it doesn’t work for the “unfamiliar” visitor for your niche to drop comments like crazy.

All we can do is just joining a forum in our niche and do a little spamming in the signature area.. and get a little active there. Or you can just commenting the other’s blog in your niche often, so that, they’d come to your site and maybe would like to be a good reader for you.

Giving a present like yours way like this also can encoirage reader to more digging your blog deeper…
