Podcast Wednesday - the .net Magazine Podcast

Inspired by Ryan Morrison’s podcast directory on his Up Your Ego site, I am going to review a podcast every Wednesday. I am subscribed to several in iTunes, and I will start off my reviewing those first, but if anyone can point me in the direction of any other good (or otherwise) podcasts I will certainly take a listen.

.net Magazine.net Magazine Podcast

Subject: Web news with a focus on web publishing
Average length: 50 minutes
Frequency: 2 weeks

The first podcast I’m going to look at today is the podcast put out by the guys at .net Magazine, the magazine for all things internet. I don’t read the magazine regularly, but I grab it sporadically and am always impressed with the quality of the content.

The podcast, which is produced fortnightly, takes the important tech headlines of the fortnight and, fronted by Paul Boag, discusses them with a team of semi-regular gurus, as well as tackling an important topic or two, such as home working or bloggers’ conduct. As you would expect from a large publishing group of a tech-focussed magazine, the production quality is high, as is the content.

Note: there is a note on the webpage for the podcast that they are updating the format of the show after receiving feedback from listeners after the first 10 shows.
