The Nintendo DS is still the topselling console in the world, 4 years after it was released. With its awesome catalogue of games, its low price and high “pickupability”, it’s no wonder it has conquered the hand-held market. But watch out, a new competitor is about to hit the street….the Sega Megadrive Handheld!

Now you can relive those early 1990s memories of Sonic, Altered Beast and Golden Axe, wherever you are. This handheld version of Sega’s classic 16-bit console, the Megadrive, is to be released in August (for £29.99 in the UK). There’s a good chance that this machine will shift more units than the GameGear did!

Golden Axe II!!!! Geez, I loved that game so much. The megadrive looks pretty slick; I’ll probably have to pick one up and play me some Golden Axe.
